5. Intellectual property

The Juridoc Africa trademark, logos, visual identity, texts, interactive map, software and all elements of the website are the property of JURITECH or its partners. They are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code.

The documentary database (selection, classification, consolidation, summaries, indexing and metadata) is protected under database producers' rights (Articles L. 341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code). Any extraction or reuse of a substantial part of its content, including by automated means (harvesting, scraping, collection for training artificial intelligence models), is prohibited without written authorisation.

Official texts (laws, decrees, uniform acts, court decisions) remain free of rights in the version published by official sources. JURITECH's rights cover their formatting, consolidation and the enrichments added.

Any reproduction, representation or adaptation of the website, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation, constitutes infringement punishable under Articles L. 335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

The client and partner logos displayed on the website belong to their respective owners and are reproduced with their consent.

6. Nature of the content and liability

The content of Juridoc Africa is provided for documentary information purposes. It does not constitute legal advice or a personalised consultation and does not replace the advice of a lawyer, notary or any other legal professional.

Only the official publication of a text (official gazette, law reports, publication by the issuing institution) is authoritative. JURITECH uses reasonable means to ensure the accuracy and updating of the texts, but cannot guarantee the absence of errors, omissions or discrepancies with the official version.

AI assistant. The assistant's answers are generated automatically by an artificial intelligence system based on the documents in the database. They may contain errors or inaccuracies. Users must check each answer against the cited sources before any use. The terms of use of the assistant are set out on the "AI assistant usage limits" page.

JURITECH cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the website or the information it contains, nor for any interruption or unavailability of the service, in particular for maintenance or in the event of force majeure.

7. Personal data, cookies, links and governing law

Personal data. JURITECH processes the data collected on the website (demo and contact forms, legal-watch newsletter sign-up, account creation) as data controller, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 ("Informatique et Libertés"). Purposes, legal bases, retention periods and recipients are detailed on the "Privacy Policy" page.

Cookies. The website uses audience measurement and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag). These cookies are only placed after your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the "Manage my cookies" link at the bottom of the page.

Hyperlinks. Links to third-party websites (official sources, blog, social networks) are provided to make navigation easier. JURITECH has no control over these websites and accepts no liability for their content. Creating a link to juridocafrica.com is permitted, provided the website is not presented in a misleading or disparaging way.

Governing law. This legal notice is governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts within the Reims Court of Appeal, subject to mandatory rules applicable to consumers.
